Oversee and manage the Archdiocese's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance in accounting, treasury, and statutory reporting, while upholding financial integrity and alignment with Church policies and Canon Law. JOB DESCRIPTION • Ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting across all Archdiocesan entities, including timely financial statements, consolidated reports, and completion of statutory audits. • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments, collections, and reconciliations while maintaining strong internal controls and effective fund management. • Manage cash flow and treasury operations to ensure sufficient liquidity, oversee banking and investment activities, and provide strategic advice on financial planning and resource optimization • Ensure full compliance with SST, e-lnvoicing, and other regulatory requirements, staying updated on financial legislation and coordinating with consultants and authorities on compliance matters • Drive efficiency and accuracy by optimizing the Archdiocesan financial system (Autocount), enhancing financial processes and controls, and supporting digital transformation initiatives. • Provide leadership and guidance to the Financial Services team, fostering transparency, accountability, and service excellence while collaborating with departments, parishes, and ministries on financial matters. JOB REQUIREMENT • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA} preferred. • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in management. • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, IFRS, SST, and e-lnvoicing compliance, with experience in nonprofit or faith-based organizations an advantage. • Must possess excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills, proficiency in accounting systems, and a high level of integrity, accountability, and alignment with the mission and values of the Catholic Church. The Head of Department (HOD), Church & Ministries Finance Compliance, is responsible for ensuring effective financial management, strong governance, and strict compliance across all parishes, ministries, and church organizations under the Archdiocese, promoting transparency, accountability, and alignment with the Church's mission and financial regulations. JOB DESCRIPTION • Responsible for overseeing and ensuring accurate financial management, budgeting, and reporting across all parishes, ministries, and church organizations under the Archdiocese. • Ensure strong financial governance and compliance by enforcing policies, implementing audit recommendations, and maintaining adherence to Archdiocesan and canonical financial standards. • Responsible for the preparation and submission of comprehensive financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and informed financial decision-making across all parish and ministry operations. • Oversee training and capacity-building programs to enhance financial management skills and promote transparency, accountability, and prudent stewardship across all Archdiocesan ministries & parishes. • Drive the enhancement of financial systems and digital processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial reporting across the Archdiocese. • Provide strategic leadership and foster collaboration to strengthen financial governance, build team capacity, and promote transparency and partnership across all Archdiocesan entities.
