GEM Pilgrims Visit Holy Family Kajang
Fifty pilgrims from the Golden Elders Ministry (GEM) of the Church of Divine Mercy, Shah Alam, accompanied by their parish priest, Fr George Harrison, visited the Church of the Holy Family, Kajang, as part of its 125th-anniversary celebrations. Parishioners warmly welcomed the group, who then explored the church's rich history. Highlights included stained-glass panels dating from 1901, which survived the Second World War bombings, and the church bell from 1903.
The pilgrims also venerated the first-class relics of Sts Louis and Zélie Martin, parents of St Thérèse of the Child Jesus and secondary patrons of the parish. Following Mass and a meeting with parish priest Fr Michael Chua, the group enjoyed lunch and fellowship. In keeping with GEM's motto, "Growing Older, Living Bolder," the visit provided a meaningful opportunity to deepen their faith, build friendships, and honour generations of Christian devotion.
