The annual Red Mass, a Votive celebration invoking the Holy Spirit upon the legal fraternity, was presided over by Sebastian Cardinal Francis at the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist on 24 January. Concelebrating with him were Archbishop Julian Leow, Fr Gerard Theraviam, and Fr Gregory Chan. In his homily, His Eminence urged the legal community to embody the mission of Jesus through the Holy Spirit in their work. He reminded them of Pope Francis's call to transform the Church into field hospitals, encouraging them to cultivate hope and mercy in their daily lives rather than judgment. The celebration, attended by a host of Catholics from the legal profession and their families, concluded with refreshments and fellowship on the church grounds.
