The Interdenominational Disaster Relief & Response Forum recently convened 26 global humanitarian leaders at the Auditorium Cahayasuara to enhance community resilience. The half-day event, hosted by Rev Matthew Chay, Director of REACH, a localised disaster and crisis response programme by the Anglican Church in Malaysia, focused on sharing real-world experiences and practical strategies.

Key presentations were delivered by the Archdiocesan Office for Human Development and Dr Yoong Sao Chin, Executive Director of CREST. These were complemented by diverse regional insights from leaders of global Partners in Resilience Response (PiRR). By analysing various successes and challenges, the group identified innovative collaborative approaches to enhance emergency response capabilities in their respective countries. The forum concluded with light refreshments, providing excellent networking opportunities to foster deeper international partnerships.
