Bridging Hearts Through Sign Language
Sixteen students have successfully completed the Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia (BIM) Level 3 class, following their final evaluation at the Church of St Francis Xavier, Petaling Jaya. The evaluation assessed their signing skills through storytelling and their receptive skills through voice interpretation.
This group is the first to complete Level 3 since the COVID-19 pandemic. Organised by the Catholic Ministry for the Deaf (CMfD), the BIM programme comprises three levels, with Level 3 signifying the completion of the full course.
Congratulations to all the students! May their hands and voices be blessed as instruments of God, building bridges between the Deaf and hearing communities.
