Restoring Dignity Through Love
About 90 volunteers from the Archdiocesan Prison Ministry gathered at the Church of St Aloysius, Mantin, for their Third Annual Prison Mass, themed “Transforming Lives Through Love.” The Mass was celebrated by Fr Christopher Wilvaraj, with an inspiring homily by Fr Dr Clarence Dass. He reminded the volunteers that prison ministry is more than visiting prisoners. It is about encountering Christ, restoring dignity, offering hope, and growing together in God’s love.
After Mass, participants shared lunch, fellowship, and activities. A moving testimony by En Hafizi, a former prisoner now pursuing his PhD, highlighted the power of second chances. Talks and team workshops further reinforced how service rooted in love can become a channel through which God transforms lives.
