Deepening Faith and Fellowship

A cohort of 30 students from the Distance Education Programme in Theology (DEPTh 3) recently participated in a formation session led by Fr. Gerard Theraviam and Fr. Michael Cheah from the Diocese of Penang. The sessions focused on the Psalms and the Sacraments of Initiation.


Participants explored how the Psalms express emotions like sorrow and trust, learning to use them into their daily prayers. They also studied the Sacraments, with a focus on Baptism as a new beginning and the Eucharist as the centre of their faith. Beyond the classroom, students from across Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak enjoyed connecting with one another and sharing their faith journeys.
