Journeying Through Mercy: A Catechetical Formation

Forty catechists attended a transformative formation session led by Fr David Arulanatham, the Ecclesiastical Assistant for Archdiocesan Catechetical Ministry. The focus was on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, exploring its essential role in restoring grace, achieving inner healing, and strengthening our spiritual bond with God.


Participants, gathered at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Peel Road, explored the significance of confession, shifting the educational emphasis from a fear of punishment to the joy of divine mercy. The formation highlighted the importance of sincere spiritual preparation and practical teaching strategies, equipping catechists to guide others in experiencing the peace, holiness, and restorative power found within this sacred encounter.
