The Head of Department (HOD), Church & Ministries Finance Compliance, is responsible for ensuring effective financial management, strong governance, and strict compliance across all parishes, ministries, and church organizations under the Archdiocese, promoting transparency, accountability, and alignment with the Church's mission and financial regulations.



JOB DESCRIPTION

•    Responsible for overseeing and ensuring accurate financial management, budgeting, and reporting across all parishes, ministries, and church organizations under the Archdiocese.

•    Ensure strong financial governance and compliance by enforcing policies, implementing audit recommendations, and maintaining adherence to Archdiocesan and canonical financial standards.

•    Responsible for the preparation and submission of comprehensive financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and informed financial decision-making across all parish and ministry operations.

•    Oversee training and capacity-building programs to enhance financial management skills and promote transparency, accountability, and prudent stewardship across all Archdiocesan ministries & parishes.

•    Drive the enhancement of financial systems and digital processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial

reporting across the Archdiocese.

•    Provide strategic leadership and foster collaboration to strengthen financial governance, build team capacity, and promote transparency and partnership across all Archdiocesan entities.

JOB REQUIREMENT

•     Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.

•     Minimum 8-10 years of finance experience, including 3 years in management.

•     Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls, and compliance, ideally within non-profit or faith­ based settings.

•     Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills with proficiency in financial systems.

•     Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and alignment with the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
